Happy Fall, Friends!
Dear Friends,
Happy fall! How are all of your Olga/Stripe Along sweaters coming along? As I mentioned last week, I decided to put the body stitches on hold and work on the sleeves first. This may be my new way of knitting a sweater. There is less sweater to maneuver when knitting sleeves, and I think it just might keep me off sleeve island.
Our trip was a lot of fun, but I am so happy to be home with my people, the store, and my dog. Ben has been a bit of a Velcro dog this week, and that is just fine with me. We attended our training class, and I'm thrilled to share that Ben passed his Canine Good Citizen test! He may not be perfect, but he held it together and completed all the exercises. Afterward, he came home and took a long nap, which tells me he gave it his all!
I love the projects featured in this newsletter, and many of them would make great holiday gifts. We recently restocked Cashmere Treats Cashmere DK, so we’re highlighting the incredibly popular Double Knit Scarf. We also got a soft new yarn from Rowan, Mohair Tweed, which we couldn't resist pairing with the classic Churchmouse Welted Fingerless Mitts pattern. Little Coffee Bean in cozy Big Bad Wool – yes please! The Breckenridge Bundle Hat is a classic, too. No matter which bundle you choose, it’s sure to make a hat you reach for again and again. Petite Knit has done it again with the Petra Jacket; this one may end up on my needles later this fall.
Don’t forget, we’ll have a fun Tuesday afternoon in the shop with Sandy Barnes and Britt-Marie Brehmer from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. They will fill the shop with Ito samples and plenty of inspiration. All of Ito’s bases will be on display, even those we don’t carry, so it’s a great chance to check out the entire line. By the way, I’ve decided to cast-on the Lakes Crew Cardigan. I just adore Ozetta’s patterns and couldn’t resist knitting with her again!
