Ready, Set Cast On: Knitting Olympics Inspiration Part Two

Welcome to Part Two of our Knitting Olympics inspiration! This round features more patterns we’re especially excited to knit in mYak yarns, several of which our team has picked out.

And yes—kits are here! We’ve put together a few curated options to make joining the knit-along easy and joyful, highlighting projects that pair beautifully with mYak Fibers.

Claire Scarf by Lisa Hannes

Suggested yarn: mYak Baby Yak Medium
Suggested needles: US 6 (4 mm)

Soft, elegant, and endlessly wearable, the Claire Scarf is a joy to knit and to wear. This one will be on my needles during opening ceremony. The plush cashmere makes it feel extra special.

We have this available as a kit.

Spring Bulbs by Gretha Mensen

Suggested yarn: mYak Tibetan Cloud — two skeins
Suggested needles: US 6 (4 mm)

A beautiful balance of texture and simplicity, Spring Bulbs is soothing to knit while still keeping things interesting. Tibetan Cloud gives this piece warmth and lightness - and yes, it's a kit!

Sophie Scarf by Petite Knit

Suggested yarn: mYak Ra-Ku Fiocco di Cashmere Medium
Suggested needles: US 7 (4.5 mm)

A Monarch favorite for good reason. The Sophie Scarf is quick, satisfying, and incredibly wearable. Koryn is knitting this one, and the Ra-Ku cashmere adds just the right amount of softness and drape.

We’re offering this project as a kit, perfect if you want something cozy and rewarding on your needles right away.

Bonnie & Clyde by Isabell Kraemer

Suggested yarn: mYak Fior di Lino
Suggested needles: US 4 (3.25 mm)

This design is full of thoughtful details and beautiful structure. Catherine plans to cast on Bonnie & Clyde, and Fior di Lino lends an elegant hand and subtle texture that really highlights the pattern’s lines.

Weekend Hat by Petite Knit

Suggested yarn: mYak Tibetan Cloud + Berroco Aerial
Suggested needles: US 4 (3.25 mm)

A cozy, slightly elevated take on a classic hat. Molly has this one her list, and the combination of Tibetan Cloud with Aerial creates a soft, airy fabric that’s warm without feeling heavy.

From Me with Love by mYak

Suggested yarn: mYak Baby Yak, 2 skeins
Suggested needles: US 3 and US 4

A heartfelt design from mYak. This project is all about simplicity, intention, and beautiful materials, what's not to love?

Whether you’re casting on one of our kits or choosing your own adventure, we hope these projects spark inspiration. Don’t forget to join us in our Ravelry group to share progress, cheer each other on, and see what everyone else is knitting.

Happy stitching and enjoy every cozy moment of the Games!
