Spotlight on Events: Plucky Knitter Trunk Show

After a dreary and chilly winter here on the coast, don't we all deserve a day filled with color and inspiration? On Saturday, March 11th, we will do our best to cure the winter doldrums by hosting a Plucky Knitter Trunk show. It will be a happy day at the shop with yarn, kits, treats, and giveaways. And, if you are far afield, don't worry; we will be hosting the trunk show virtually starting on Sunday the 12th!

Nick and Diana will be here to help you make your selections, and if you are looking for yarn for a particular project, you can special order most things from their catalog of colors and bases.

Of course, there will be yarn, but I will chat about that further down.  We will be featuring grab-and-go kits for a few fun projects!

If springtime color is your thing, then these projects are for you:

The Moody Cowl in Luxe Merino Sport will be at the shop!  Don't you think Koryn needs to knit this one?

The Talk of the Town Wrap will surround you in cashmere!

Show Your Stripes: (Psst, we may even have a kit using our special Bash's Beach color!)

If you know me and my love for textured classic shawls, then it is no surprise that we will have a few kits for Vignola:

And a few kits for Twirligig.....I love this one!

You will have to come in to see the rest!

We are also introducing two new Plucky bases to our shelves, Terra DK and Cormo Worsted. Last year I knit a sweater in Terra DK, and it is a thing of beauty, if I may say so myself.  Hinterm Stern's Home Base is everything I like in a sweater. An overall simple sweater with a few details that make it unique but the yarn and color are just lovely. I enjoyed working with this organic merino wool so much that I will use it for the upcoming Cozy Classic Raglan Workshop!

We are also introducing Plucky's Cormo Worsted to the shop, a yarn I have wanted to bring in for a while. This yarn is a 100% cormo, a long-staple fiber that is soft against one’s skin. The yarn is springy, comfortable to wear, and resistant to a lot of pilling.  It is excellent for both sweaters and accessories.

We look forward to seeing you all next Saturday.  We truly appreciate your support of the shop and our special vendors!
