A Little Knitting Temptation...
Dear Friends,
Like most of you, I find it hard to resist new knitting projects. A Joji Locatelli vest in Woolfolk Luft on US 8 needles was just too much temptation for me. Despite my determination to finish other projects, I couldn't help but cast on this week's garment project, Golden Field Vest. I started it yesterday and am already through the yoke—it's such a quick and satisfying knit!
As for the projects I plan to finish along with all of you... they don't start until August, right? By then, I should be close to finishing the vest! As for my Ease Tee, I've ripped it back and put it back on the needles. You can see why in a snippet from my latest blog post about the "Rule of Two."
If you missed last week's newsletter, we're hosting an August Finish Along! Send us the name (or names) of the projects you hope to complete in August. Next week's blog post will feature a roundup of the projects our community hopes to finish over the next 31 days. And don't forget—starting this Saturday and continuing throughout August, we'll gather at the shop every Saturday from 10:30 am to noon for our Finish Along meetups.
If you're anything like me and can't resist casting on something new, this week's newsletter is full of inspiration, from quick hats and bandanas to socks—and, of course, Joji's new vest.
Over the next few weeks, our shelves will be filling up with restocks and exciting new arrivals, so be sure to check out the "New in the Shop" section further down in the newsletter. We've also added Knitting 101, Knitting 102, and Granny Square classes to our schedule. And stay tuned—next week we'll be introducing our full lineup of Fall classes. Get ready to learn some new skills!
Knit and be happy,
Ann
Highlights

Some patterns are just too good not to knit again. The Harebell Bandana has made its way back onto our needles, this time in Kelbourne Woolens Mojave. Light, textured, and wonderfully versatile, it's the perfect little summer project.

Unexpected, timeless, and just plain fun to knit - this is the Bisbis beret by Sari Nordlund. We're knitting this delightful topper with two strands of Lamana Como and a strand of Lamana Premia, a wonderfully soft fabric with a delicate halo that makes every stitch feel extra special. A great option for fall, yes?

Our friend Heather, who many of you may remember from Monarch, stopped by with the sweetest little baby hat last week, and we haven't stopped thinking about it since. How cute is the tiny whale motif?! Knit in Ewe Ewe Wooly Worsted for a soft and quick knit, this adorable project will make such a sweet gift.

Sock sets are one of our favorite ways to add a little extra personality to a pair of socks. Cuff Link Socks is the perfect project to let those mini skeins shine. The hardest part? Choosing which Salty Blonde Sock Set to cast on first.

If you've followed along for any length of time, you already know - we're suckers for a good vest. The latest from Joji had us at first glance. Knit in Woolfolk Luft, it's beautifully textured, endlessly wearable, and already climbing our must-knit list.
