Ann's Next Cast On + This Week's Inspiration
Dear Friends,
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Fourth of July! After a couple of busy weeks at the shop, ours was quiet and relaxing. To be honest, I had a weekend at home and loved every minute of it. I caught up on my MasterClass and enjoyed preparing a few meals.
This week has been busy with reordering, Curated Seasons boxes, and general catch-up work. My to-do list gets a bit shorter every day, and my reward for the work is a few days with my daughter’s family in Pittsburgh. It will be a nice, relaxing few days in the summer heat.
I’m also excited about the quiet knitting time I’ll have on the flights. What will I bring on the trip? Two projects, of course! The first is this week’s project, the Phoebe Scarf by Ozetta. A little bit of cashmere around my neck will be perfect for fall (or our cool Augusts). I love the Navy and Poppy colorway—I have been leaning into navy this summer.
The second project is my Ease Tee. With busy days at the shop, I haven’t had much time to knit, so yes, my Summer Knit Along will last all summer long. A client wore her Ease Tee a couple of days ago, and it looked fantastic, motivating me to finish mine.
We have a lovely collection of projects to share with you this week as well. I especially love the sweet bobble details on the Lagun shawlette, the timeless EVERYDAY Bag, the playful Welty Socks, and La Storia in mYak Fior di Cashmere—such a beautiful pairing. I hope you'll find something that inspires your next cast on.
Speaking of the Summer Knit Along, it is coming to a close this Saturday. Please don’t forget to send us photos of your finished garments! I will be drawing for prizes next week and will announce the winners in next week’s newsletter.

Some projects are simply impossible to resist. The Phoebe Scarf immediately caught Ann's eye, and she's already planning her cast on! We can only offer private lessons on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays. There are no private lessons during the hours of Knitting Circle.
