Summer Tees, a Big Sale, & a New Masterclass 🧶

Dear Friends,

Happy June! How can it already be the start of the summer months? I'm having a quiet beginning to the month, spending time at home with Bash and Ben. Bash has been battling cancer like a champ for the past 15 months, but it's really starting to take a toll on him. Mr. Monarch and I are cherishing each day we have with him, enjoying slow, short walks, a delicious menu for each meal, and long naps on the deck while I knit.

On that note, I must admit that I cast on a bit early for the Tee Along. I just needed an easy project to help take my mind off things, and the Ease Tee was just the ticket. The official cast-on date is June 6th, but it’s not too late to join! You can start working on a tee at any time and still be eligible for the drawing—even if your sweater isn’t complete!

This week, we have something a bit unusual in the newsletter. Our friend Melanie Berg has created a 12-month Knitting Masterclass that covers all aspects of yarn, knitting, garment construction, fit, and special techniques like colorwork, lace, and brioche. This class is designed for experienced knitters who want to deepen their understanding of the craft. I plan to take the class myself because I always enjoy learning more and honing my skills. If you decide to register, please let us know! We don’t receive any revenue from this, but it would be fun to know who else in the Monarch Community is participating, and we could compare notes on the class.

We also have some great patterns featured in the newsletter, including my friend Leslie's Toastie Mitts, which look incredibly comfortable and fit really well. I also love Ksenia’s Harebell Bandana —I might have to knit one for my daughter! For those of you looking for a sleeveless option for the Tee Along, check out the Bea Top by PetiteKnits, which is offered in Knitting for Olive Pure Silk.

Don’t miss our biggest online sale ever! It is filled with great yarn and accessories!

Knit…and be happy!
Ann

P.S. – This is your last chance to pre-order an Advent calendar—all preorders will close on June 6th. We might have a few available for purchase later this summer, but they will be priced slightly higher.

Toasted Mitts

Sometimes the classics are classics for a reason. Toasted Mitts showcase the beauty of half-twisted rib in a simple, timeless design that's as enjoyable to knit as it is to wear. We think Camellia Fiber Company Merino Worsted is the perfect match, creating warm, squishy mitts with beautiful stitch definition and everyday appeal.
