Summer Tees, Good Company & Plenty of Prizes
Dear Friends,
I am incredibly excited for our Early Summer Tee Along! Each staff member has chosen a sweater to knit, and there isn’t one that I wouldn’t knit myself. My queue for summer knits has definitely grown a lot this week.
This week’s newsletter features my pick for the Tee Along: Anne Ventzel’s Ease Tee. Before making your project decision, though, be sure to visit the blog post, Our Early Summer Tee Along Picks. We have gathered such a fun mix of projects, including Long Island Iced Tea, Cumulus, Nawa, Umbria Summer Top, Reinia Picas Tee, and Perfect Knit Tee. We have also included two lovely poncho options: Bloomlet and Ponte.
The Tee Along will run from June 6 through July 11. If you choose to knit a tee or summer sweater and purchase the yarn from us, we will, in most cases, gift you the pattern. A few designers do not allow shops to purchase patterns on behalf of customers, so there are a handful of projects that will require you to purchase the pattern yourself.
We have created kits for our staff selections, but we have also included yarn links and yardage information so you can choose your own colors if you have something special in mind.
And of course, you are not limited to our staff picks. If there is a tee or summer sweater you have been excited to knit or crochet, purchase the yarn from us and let us know which pattern you are making. If we are able to, we will happily purchase the pattern for you, and you will automatically be entered into our Early Summer Tee Along prize drawing.
We will gather at the shop on Saturdays from 10:30 am to noon for knitting, encouragement, and a little summer stitching fun. We will also keep in touch on Ravelry throughout the month. I could use a little cheering up right now, so I am especially looking forward to this community event... and yes, there will definitely be prizes!
Knit…and be happy!
Ann
PS - Calling all needlepointers! Join me for a relaxed evening of stitching and good company at Needlepoint Night on Wednesday, June 3rd, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Sigrid Scarf
Small in size but full of style, The Sigrid Scarf by Ida Vayrynen is a versatile little knit you’ll reach for again and again. We love it in Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Light held with Rowan Kidsilk Haze for a soft, airy fabric with the dreamiest halo. A chic, satisfying project and a wonderful excuse to cast on with two truly beautiful yarns.
Alouette Cardigan
Sweet, timeless, and full of thoughtful details, this is a beautiful sweater for little ones. We’re featuring it in Berroco Cashmello, a dreamy yarn for baby and children’s knits. Soft, lightweight, and wonderfully cozy, it creates a garment that feels every bit as special as the child who will wear it.
Mulda Scarf
Proof that cables can be both approachable and addictive, this elegant triangular scarf combines Half Fisherman’s Rib with a beautifully symmetrical cable motif for a project that is engaging, repetitive, and deeply satisfying to knit. We’re featuring it in Lamana Como, a wonderfully soft merino yarn that highlights every stitch and creates a lightweight scarf with gorgeous texture and drape.
Los Sporty
If you love socks with clever details, Los Sporty by Belen Fernandez is such a fun knit. Packed with thoughtful design details for a comfortable, great-fitting pair of everyday socks. We’ve gathered four colors of Lang Jawoll so you can have fun with every contrast detail. How sweet is the little heart motif?
Ease Tee
Simple, modern, and endlessly wearable, the Ease Tee by Anne Ventzel is Ann’s pick for our upcoming Early Summer Tee-Along. Her version will be knit in ITO Shimo and ITO Kinu, a sophisticated yarn pairing that creates a cool, airy fabric with beautiful movement and a refined hand. If you’ve been looking for a timeless summer tee, this may be the perfect project to cast on.

ITO Shimo
New to our shelves, ITO Shimo is a beautifully soft blend of merino wool and recycled silk with a subtle heathered look and lightweight feel. Knit it on its own, doubled, or paired with another yarn for wraps, tees, and cardigans with quiet texture and depth. A lovely all-season yarn for sophisticated knitting. Ann is loving it combined with Ito Kinu!
In case you missed it...

Fior di Lino and Fior di Cashmere are back and just as lovely as ever. We love these yarns for a variety of projects and are so happy to have a fresh stock.
The stunning Bao Bao Shawl has hit our shelves again and we are obsessed! This gorgeous shawl featuring mYak Tibetan Cloud sold out quickly the first time around. If you’ve been hoping to cast on one of these beautiful wraps, now is the perfect time to grab your kit before they disappear again.

Looking for a more comfortable way to knit? These new needles feature a unique square shape with softly rounded corners that many knitters find easier on their hands. Made from the same smooth stainless steel as ChiaoGoo’s beloved Twist tips, they offer the same wonderful yarn glide with a more relaxed grip — perfect for longer knitting sessions.

``` A couple of quiet cleanup choices I made: - removed the Marsello/Gmail tracking wrappers and used direct `monarchknitting.com` links - removed email-only table/layout markup - kept the content in a simple blog-friendly flow with headings, paragraphs, images, and links only If you want, I can also do a second pass that makes this one more compact and editorial, since this version still preserves almost all of the newsletter structure.
