Dear Friends,
We had a fabulous celebration for our 13th Anniversary/LYS Day at Monarch! Thank you all so much for supporting the store, stopping by to say hello, and shopping with us, both in Pacific Grove and online. We love being a part of the crafting community. Congratulations to our drawing winners: Madison, Marylouise, Tawnie, Sam, and Georgia!
Next week, I’ll be attending the H+H Chicago trade show for a couple of days of shopping. It’s always a fun event where I can reconnect with our current vendors and discover new products for the shop. If you have any suggestions for what you would like to see on our shelves, please let us know at hello@monarchknitting.com.
As many of you know, booking a private lesson at the shop can be a challenge. Finding time when a team member can sit with you and give you undivided attention in a busy shop is tough. Starting on the 6th of May, we will have an extra person in the shop on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Please contact the shop to book a private lesson for knitting or crochet, and please make sure to tell us what you need help with. As always, we have our Help Table on Thursdays from 11:00 am to noon.
There are so many fun goodies in today’s newsletter. Ksenia’s Vesna Tee was a big hit at the Peninsula Yarn/Life is Cozy trunk show. This tee is easily adjustable in width and length, and it is a great piece for spring and summer. I’m also in love with the Otto Sweater, so little Finn may be wearing one soon. The Midtones Shawl is definitely in my style wheelhouse. However, the project that keeps catching my eye is the Petale Scarf. I might bring the yarn home today. I’m not a crocheter, but she has a video tutorial for the edging. I can figure that out, right?
We have added a couple of Knitting 101 classes, and one is in the early evening!
Knit and be happy!
