Pumpkin Season, New Knits & Happy Memories 🧶

Dear Friends,

Happy Pumpkin Season!

This week, we concluded our first-ever Monarch Retreat, and what an incredible experience it was! We enjoyed three days of knitting, delicious food, and soaking up the beauty of Pacific Grove with a wonderful group of guests. Thank you to each of you, and a huge thank you to Kate Atherley, Sandy Barnes, Britt-Marie Brehmer, and our dear Jenn for making it so special. We can’t wait for the next retreat!

After such a busy few days — during which I even lost my voice — I'm looking forward to catching up on work and taking some time to relax at home. I’ve also been playing a bit of Mahjong. It’s funny that the first thing I did when I got home was sit down and knit! I had been so busy that my needles were idle for a while. A couple of episodes of “The Rest is History” and a few rows of knitting definitely rejuvenated me!

I have a couple of baby girls to knit for in the next couple of months, and I’m all about the Crossandra Sweater Mini. Isn't it the cutest thing ever? The Pure Silver Scarf has my name on it 100%, so my fall queue is filling up! Such a happy time for us knitters!

Pre-orders have opened for Patty Lyon’s new book, Knitting ER: A Step-by-Step Guide to Fixing Your Knits, Before and After Bind Off. If you loved Patty’s previous book, Knitting Bag of Tricks, you will definitely want to add this title to your knitting library. I had a sneak peek through the pages, and it is filled with a wealth of information.

I wish you all a lovely and relaxing weekend!

Knit and be happy,

Ann

Highlights

Pure Silver Scarf

Texture and a gorgeous pairing of yarns have us completely taken with the Pure Silver Scarf. Simple sections of ribbing and garter stitch create a beautifully textured triangular scarf, and we're imagining it in Pascuali Sayama held together with Lamana Premia. Soft, lofty, and finished with just the right amount of halo, it's the kind of combination that makes simple stitches feel extra special.

Cozy Checks Hat

A little graphic, a little playful, and very cozy. This hat gives us another reason to play with the color wall! We're pairing it with Sandnes Garn Double Sunday, whose smooth stitches and fabulous palette make choosing two colors half the fun. Go classic and tonal or pick a combination with plenty of contrast. Check, please!

Bellwether Hat

Could we resist a hat covered in tiny sheep? Absolutely not. Bellwether features a sweet little flock surrounded by flowers, and we think Kelbourne Woolens Scout is just the yarn for it. Woolly, wonderfully suited to colorwork, and available in so many good colors, the hardest part may be choosing your combination.

Crossandra Sweater Mini

How sweet is the Crossandra Sweater Mini? We fell immediately for that playful scalloped detail and think it would be absolutely lovely worked in Isager Baby. Soft and lightweight, it's a beautiful yarn for little layers—and a very good excuse to cast on something tiny.

Ivy Cape

Not quite sweater weather? Don't feel like fussing with a shawl? The Ivy Cape might be just the thing. This simple top-down layer has an easy, polished shape that we can see ourselves throwing over just about everything. And in Woolfolk Far? Even better. Exceptionally soft addition to your fall wardrobe.
