A Little Color, a Little Cozy & Lots of Knitting 🧶
Dear Friends,
I hope you are having a good week! Mine has been lovely and quiet. I managed to get a lot of work done, and last weekend, I spent my time at home knitting. I made good progress on my Lakes Crew Cardigan while watching a lot of PBS mysteries, including "Marlow Murder Mysteries" and "Marble Hall Murders." There’s nothing I enjoy more than knitting and watching a fun mystery.
In addition to working on the Olga for our stripe-along and the Lakes Crew Cardigan in my project bags, I have a ton of new babies to knit for! Many of my friends have new grandchildren in the mix, so my needles are busy with some fun baby sweaters. Last week's sweater, the Cossandra Mini, is being knit for a baby shower at the end of the month, and I just love the little scalloped edge. Up next are sweaters for a couple of little boys who have just arrived.
We have some fun new products! I’ve been experimenting with the Project Harmony Color Wheel, the latest gem from Twice Sheared Sheep. I have to say, Dawn is a bit of a genius when it comes to designing tools that makers need. I love that this color wheel is compact enough to fit in your notions bag and offers both low and high contrast options.
Do you carry a notebook in your knitting bag? I am definitely a notebook girl, so of course we had to create a Monarch Knitting Spiral with the reminder to "Knit and Be Happy" printed on the cover. As one of my favorite podcasters, Annika Scheer, mentioned in her podcast "10 Knitting Tools That Actually Make You a Better Knitter," using a notebook is a good habit. Stay tuned for next week's blog post on how I use my notebook!
Knit…and be happy,
Ann

Highlights

A pretty little classic! The Ingrid Triangle Scarf can dress up an outfit or add a finishing touch to something casual. We’ve paired it with Cashmere Treats Cashmere Merino Luxe for a little luxury you can wear every day.

A little comfort knitting, anyone? The EASYPEASY Bandana lives up to its name with a simple design that’s welcoming for beginners and relaxing for experienced knitters. Our pairing of Lamana Como and Premia lets the yarn shine, and makes a lovely little layer for chilly days.

How handsome is this beanie? Among the Elk combines slipped and crossed stitches in a six-round repeat for bold texture without a complicated stitch pattern. We’ve paired it with CFC Fibers Yak DK for a luxurious gift knit — it’s never too early to get started!

Another darling addition to the baby-gift list! The Baby Fisherman’s Wrap is a versatile little layering piece, and our yarn pairing of Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino promises plenty of squish. So cute!

Meet your next everyday sweater. Vara’s subtle vertical lines, relaxed shape, and clean finishing make it a lovely wardrobe staple. We’ve paired Ériu Elements with Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair for a cozy knit with a soft halo. A lovely combination for a sweater you’ll reach for throughout the cooler months.
