Counting Skeins and Fresh Finds

Dear Friends,

We at the shop have some fun-filled days ahead! (Ha!) Starting this Sunday, we're diving into inventory, so the shop will be closed on Monday and Tuesday next week. We may reopen on Wednesday, depending on how the inventory process goes, so please check our social media for updates before making the trip.

In addition to counting inventory, we're also giving the shop a little refresh. A few new fixtures are arriving a bit later than expected, so while we'll be open later in the week, you may notice a little work happening around the shop. Thank you in advance for your patience—we're excited to freshen things up and can't wait to share the finished look with you!

As a reminder, we will be hosting our inaugural knitting retreat at the end of September. All the details are below, and I hope you'll take a look. We're almost at capacity, so if you've been thinking about joining us, now is the time to reserve your spot. We can't wait to welcome you to Pacific Grove!

While we've been clearing shelves for inventory, my obsession with bringing beautiful new yarns into the shop certainly hasn't slowed down. Along with a restock of Camellia Fiber Company's Sylvan and Merino Worsted, we're thrilled to introduce their new Yak DK —and I am absolutely obsessed! If you'd like to give it a try, we're featuring the Cityscape Hat by one of our favorite designers, Tori Yu.

If you're looking for the perfect summer yarn, we also now carry Amano Sami, a beautiful organic Peruvian Pima cotton. Since the Sophie Scarf has become such a shop favorite, we thought it would be fun to create a lightweight summer version using this gorgeous yarn.

We've also opened preorders for two beautiful new publications from Laine. Their special 10th Anniversary Issue is a stunning collector's edition celebrating a decade of inspiring knitwear, and Sari Nordlund's new book, Foundations, is filled with timeless accessories you'll want to knit again and again. I may be adding it to my library as well!

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead. And if you find it hard to sleep, you can always count skeins of yarn along with us!

Knit and be happy,

Ann

Introducing our Inaugural Retreat!

We are thrilled to announce our inaugural knitting retreat, Monarch by the Sea, taking place September 27–30, 2026, in beautiful Pacific Grove, California.

Join us for four memorable days of knitting, learning, friendship, and relaxation on the Monterey Peninsula. Designed for intermediate and advanced knitters, this intimate retreat is an opportunity to step away from the everyday, immerse yourself in your craft, and connect with fellow makers in one of our favorite places.

Space is very limited. Visit our retreat page below for complete details, accommodations, pricing, workshop information, and registration.
