Sophie Shawl - mYak Version
What is my travel shawl throughtout the year? The Sohpie Shawl knit in mYak lace held double. I love this piece because it's so incredibly soft and lightweight. Let's face it; everyone needs a staple like Sophie in their wardrobe, maybe two! Knit from tip to tip as a shallow, garter-stitch triangle; this simple shawl is a breeze to knit. Long, tapered ends offer tons of styling and tying options, while i-cords at both ends add a polished look. This will definitely be on heavy rotation this season!
ANN'S MODIFICATIONS:
I used a US 6 needle and held mYak lace double. I recommend doing a little swatch to ensure you like the fabric and adjust your needles accordingly. I followed the pattern as written, BUT when I had used a bit less than half of each of my skeins, I started to decrease. mYak skeins are 50 grams, so when I started to decrease, I had 27 grams in each skein. Please make sure you follow the count to increase and decrease every 6 rows to ensure you have even sides!
