Knitting 102: The Sophie Scarf - March 7th and 14th
Saturdays, March 7th and 14th from 10:30 am to noon

Are you familiar with the basics of knitting and ready to advance your skills? Join Catherine for a class on the incredibly popular Sophie Scarf. In the first session, we will cover how to read and understand a knitting pattern, introduce i-cord edging and KFB (knit front and back) increases, and discuss effective ways to keep track of your progress in the pattern.
The following week, we will start the class with a Q&A session before diving into the decreases and discussing how to finish the project. Finally, we will explore various methods for blocking your new scarf.
Skills level: You must have taken our Knitting 101 class or be familiar with casting on, knitting, and purling.
Supplies:
- The Sophie Scarf Pattern
- DK weight yarn, you can chose to use two strand of yarn held together, a fingering and a silk mohair (we will discuss more about this in class) or a single DK weight yarn. Please come to the shop to make your yarn choice before class. We are happy to help you make a selection!
- US 4 24-inch circular needle

Pre-work: Please purchase the yarn and needles before class time.
