Diving into Gauge - May 24th
Saturday, May 24th, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm
Instructor: Catherine
Do you skip the process of making a gauge swatch? Or do you knit the swatch, count the stitches, and then feel unsure about the gauge you are getting? Join Catherine and discover the secrets behind gauge swatching. In this class, we will analyze our gauge swatches, explore how to measure them, and compare our swatches to demonstrate that gauge is truly an individual thing. Next, we will discuss the adjustments to make if your gauge is not correct for the pattern. Lastly, we will discuss the simple math you can do if you want to knit something in a different gauge. (Please note, this does not include re-gauging a sweater.)
