Color Workshop and Bubbles with Amy Opie

After which, there will be time for individual color consultations.

Join Amy Opie as she shares her expertise on choosing and combining colors with confidence for your knitting and crochet projects. After her inspiring presentation, you’ll enjoy a one-on-one color consultation and plenty of time to explore the beautiful Ikigai Trunk Show.
By the end of the night, you’ll feel empowered to make color choices that make your projects shine, and you’ll head home with a brand-new hat pattern designed exclusively for Monarch by Amy herself!
This workshop will cover:
- Understanding the basics of the color wheel
- Whether there are “rules” — and when to break them
- Identifying your personal style and the colors you naturally gravitate toward
- Selecting colors that best suit a particular project
- How to coordinate and contrast colors effectively
- Taking the fear out of stranded colorwork with a small, approachable project (like a hat)
Supplies: None required. Students are encouraged to bring an item with colors they find attractive.
