Dear Friends,
Happy March! It’s truly a lucky month here at Monarch as we welcome Ksenia from Life Is Cozy and Peninsula Yarns back to the shop. I’m always so inspired after seeing Ksenia’s beautiful designs and the delicious colors and bases from Peninsula Yarns. They’ll be visiting this Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and we hope you’ll stop by to join the fun.
I’m currently finishing the sweetest little baby sweater using their Cotton Wool DK. It will be on display in the shop until about 1:15 PM—after that, it will be wrapped up and heading with me to a baby shower that afternoon!
We love hosting these special gatherings, so please come by to say hello, enjoy a few sweet treats, and find inspiration for your spring knitting. Who knows… you might even get lucky and win a Peninsula Yarn project.
Speaking of Ksenia, how adorable is her Tartlet Shawl featured in this week’s newsletter? It feels perfectly springy. I’m also quite taken with the Old Salt Mitts—they look so good I might even be tempted to knit tiny circumferences in the round! Another favorite this week is the collection of yarn bowls. They’d look beautiful in any room, and I have my eye on the Blue Willow for my knitting table. (Mr. Monarch will be thrilled to see yet another yarn bowl appear!)
Lastly, we’re currently accepting applications for a sales associate position at the shop (Thursday through Saturday). Our mission is to create a warm, welcoming, and organized space where knitters of every level—from beginners to experts—can enjoy their craft with support from our knowledgeable and passionate staff. If you’re an experienced knitter or crocheter who would love to join our team and further our mission, read more about the position here: We're Hiring!
Knit and... Be Happy!
