For the Love of Stripes Workshop - August 22nd

Join us at the knitting table to perfect your striping skills! In this one-day workshop, we’ll go over all things stripes to build your knitting confidence to take on striped projects. Join us to learn how to carry yarn up the sides, work different jogless stripe methods, and neaten your stripes as we tackle striping in both flat and in-the-round knitting.

Techniques covered in class:

• Carrying up the sides
• Jogless stripe methods (slip the first stitch and picking up from row below)
• Weave-as-you-go method for wide stripes
• Pretty up your stripes - stripes in ribbing

supplies:

• Flat swatch started on US 8 circular needles, any length
• In-the-round swatch started on US 8 16-inch circular needles
• 2 colors of worsted weight yarn
• Tapestry needle

homework:

• Cast on 25 stitches in your first color on US 8 (any length circular) and knit two rows of stockinette flat

• Cast on 60 stitches in your first color on 16-inch US 8 circulars and knit two rows of stockinette in the round
