Knitting 102: The Em Hat - June 17th and 24th
Tuesdays, June 17th and 24th from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Instructor: Catherine
Do you understand the basics of knitting and want to take your skills to the next level? Join Catherine to knit the Em hat. This versatile hat can be knit for all ages and customized to fit like a beanie or a slouchy cap. In part one, we will cast on to circular needles, learn to join for knitting in the round without twisting the stitches, and review how to follow a knitting pattern. Between the two sessions, you will knit to the crown of the hat. The following week, class will begin with some time for questions before we transition to double-pointed needles to make the decreases for the crown and finish off the hat. Lastly, we will discuss the various ways to block your new hat.
