Following up from our last post on What's in the Project Bag, we thought it would be fun to showcase staff project bags and must-haves! This week, Katie is sharing a little snippet of her current projects and notions.
Katie, what are in your project bags?
I’m currently knitting the Uptown Pullover by Tori Yu out of Magpie Swanky DK. It's such a great pattern! For larger projects like this sweater, the Magner bag is a great companion. It easily holds a couple of skeins and my WIP along with my notions. A TKB cord is an absolute must-have here as it's perfect for trying on my sweater as I knit along.
For smaller projects, I love Ribbon Street bags. They can fit into a larger tote, and the ribbon wristlet is great for carrying on the go. Most recently, I was knitting a Clementine Cowl for the Spincycle KAL using their Dyed in the Wool and Julie Asselin's Journey Sport. It fits perfectly inside my cute Ribbon Street bag. We have a trunk show at the shop right now and I am certainly tempted to snag a couple of other fun fabrics!
In every project bag, I usually have a Firefly tin for holding scissors, stitch markers (my favorites are the flower stitch markers from Allstitch Studios!), and other notions.
Thanks for sharing, Katie! We can't wait to see your finished projects!
Katie, I love your project, and your descriptions. You are so down to earth and always helpful in the store. You are always encouraging for my projects!!!!!
Knit on, Gay.
