Dear Friends,
This past week was incredibly special: I was truly fêted by friends and family for my 60th birthday, and I’m feeling so grateful. Over the weekend, I was surrounded by my daughters, husband, mom, grandson, and son-in-law. We enjoyed some cocktails with friends, a lovely dinner at a local favorite spot, and plenty of time just relaxing at home together.
On Tuesday, my actual birthday, I enjoyed a long walk with my best buddy, Bash, had lunch and a game of Mahjong with friends, and ended the day with a fun family dinner. I’ve officially stepped into the next decade, and I feel so lucky to have done it surrounded by love.
On Wednesday, the shop was closed while we rearranged things a bit...Think of it as yarn Tetris, ha! We’re making room and prepping for fall! A few final deliveries are still on the way, so thank you for your patience as we get everything just right.
With the shuffle comes a great sale:
-
Woolfolk Tage and Modern Linen are 20% off Thursday, 30% Friday, 40% Saturday, and 50% Sunday
-
Select Pascuali yarns are now 60% off
-
Books at 50% off
-
Plus, we have some in-shop-only bins with deals not listed online!
I’ve also cast on my Coomo Cardigan (featured in this week’s newsletter) and I’m loving every stitch in Lamana Como. The fisherman’s rib is so soft and satisfying, I can’t wait to sit down with it each evening. I’ve even included a progress pic and a snap of the gorgeous flowers from Fionna Floral. Thank you to the Monarch team for making me feel so celebrated! They are gorgeous!
We will have more classes and some guest instructors to announce in next week’s newsletter, so keep your eyes peeled. And yes, we will be adding another Embroidery on Knits class!
Knit, and be Happy,
Ann

Soft, subtle, and elegantly cozy…This week’s featured kit has it all! Blending delicate cables with everyday wearability, flowing seamlessly in and out of ribbed edges for a timeless, textured look. We’ve paired Blue Sky Fibers Prairie with Ito Sensai for a fabric that’s light, warm, and irresistibly soft. A modern classic you’ll love to knit and wear.

We couldn’t resist casting on Classic Romance by Kacey Herlihy the moment we saw it! This delicate lace cowl is the perfect mix of timeless charm and modern wearability—easy to style, whether dressed up or down. We dove right into our stash of Julie Asselin’s Journey Sport, a next-to-skin soft yarn with exceptional stitch definition and a gorgeous palette of colors. The result? A beautifully textured accessory that’s as fun to knit as it is to wear.

A perfect blend of beauty and function, this pretty bag is worked top-down in a simple lace and twisted stitch pattern, with a round base and double-knit handles. It’s lightweight yet sturdy—just right for market strolls or beach days. We’re using Quince & Co. Sparrow—a crisp, cool linen that makes this an ideal warm-weather project. A fun and useful knit to take you through summer and beyond!

AMU Hat
Say hello to your new favorite hat! A ribbed hat with a twist, this playful hat by Olga Buraya-Kefelian takes classic stitching to another level with its clever construction and interplay of two yarns and colors. Our kits include one skein of Julie Asselin Journey Worsted and one skein of Spincycle Dream State—just the right combo to knit the regular-length version. It’s cozy, eye-catching, and endlessly fun to wear. A must have for fall!

COOMO cardigan
I couldn’t resist casting on the COOMO Cardigan by ANKESTRiCK with our newest yarn, Lamana Como. It’s seriously so soft! This timeless cardigan in fisherman’s rib is a wardrobe staple, and I’m loving my version in a soft, light blue for just the right pop of color. It'll be a slower knit, but absolutely worth every stitch. Cozy, elegant, and endlessly wearable...This one’s a keeper.
