Dear Friends,

We’re quietly tucked in at home this week. Mr. Monarch had successful ankle surgery yesterday and is now entering the world of ice machines, crutches, and cozy recovery. He’s promised to be an “excellent patient”… We’ll see how that goes!

I’m eagerly awaiting the restock of Lamana Como (yes, a lot of colors flew off the shelves!) so I can finally cast on my next project—the Coomo Cardigan. I adore fisherman’s rib and love the shaping of this design. Honestly, what I’m most excited about is picking out the buttons! I haven’t knit a cardigan in ages, and I can’t wait to dive in.

This week, I was inspired to write a blog post on sweater care, thanks to the arrival of our new favorite tool: the Strucket. What’s a Strucket, you ask? It’s a clever bucket with a built-in strainer, perfect for hand-washing your knits. I used it on my CMC Sweater, and it made the process so simple. Just soak, lift the strainer, secure it to the side, and let the water drain out—no heavy lifting or mess. It’s honestly so cool! Click here to see a video on how it works.

And a quick note—I didn’t quite finish the class schedule this week. It’s been a busy one, but I’ll have it ready for you next week. Promise!

Knit, and be Happy,Ann

PS - Do I add a weekend project and knit Bonnie and Clyde?  I think it is so cute!

Bonnie & Clyde

A dynamic duo of shawlettes that are as fun to knit as they are to wear! Bonnie & Clyde by Isabell Kraemer features two beautifully distinct scarf-style designs, each with its own rhythm and charm—and mYak Fior di Lino brings them to life with its airy elegance. Choose from either design:

  • Bonnie is knit top-down in a captivating dip stitch stripe pattern, with decreases on both sides and dropped yarn overs that keep the edges soft and open.
  • Clyde is worked sideways, tip to tip, with gentle shaping and playful stripes that make for a relaxing, beginner-friendly project.

Knit one or both, each shawlette is a breezy, summer-ready project and a joy to stitch!

Market Twist Hat

Timeless with a twist—literally! The Market Twist Hat by Jinx Made is a cozy, classic beanie featuring elegant cables that spiral their way around the crown for just the right amount of texture and style. One skein of Magpie Fibers Swanky DK, a luxurious blend of merino, cashmere, and nylon is the perfect match for this wear-everywhere hat. A satisfying knit and a go-to finished piece—whether you’re at the market, on a stroll, or gifting to someone special.

Classy Camp Kerchief

Scout chic meets modern minimalism in the Classy Camp Kerchief by Ashley R. Adams: a versatile little accessory that’s perfect for sunshine season! We’re knitting ours with Knitting for Olive Pure Silk, a soft, lightweight yarn made from 100% bourette silk. It’s breathable, elegant, and just right for those warm-weather days when you want a bit of style without the bulk. Wear it around your neck, in your hair, or tied to your bag...This kerchief is ready to tag along on all your summer adventures!

Waffle Cone Socks

A sweet treat for your needles!  Amy Baldwin’s Waffle Cone Socks combine playful texture with pops of color—and our exclusive kits make them extra delicious. We've paired our Fanshell Fingereing with two mini skeins of Coates & Co Prairie Sock in some yummy color combos. With its cozy waffle stitch and fun colorplay, this pattern is a joy to knit and even more fun to wear. Whether you’re treating yourself or gifting a fellow sock lover, this kit is the perfect scoop!

Ooey Gooey

Soft, squishy, and seriously fun to knit, Andrea Mowry’s Ooey Gooey sweater lives up to its name, and our curated kits bring it to life in the dreamiest way. Our kits include Plucky Knitter Legacy Sport and Spincycle Dyed in the Wool.  With its relaxed fit, top-down construction, and vibrant colorwork, this sweater is as enjoyable to knit as it is to wear. Whether you go bold or keep it subtle, the pairing of these two yarns makes every version unique!
