Dec 4th Newsletter

Dear Friends,

Thank you all so much for making Small Business Weekend such a joy. We are endlessly grateful for your support and for choosing to shop small, it truly means the world to us.

I made sure to do a little small business shopping of my own this weekend! I attended a pop-up shop at Stokes Adobe and purchased a few gifts from an amazing local potter, Vanessa Cowdrey, earrings for my daughter from Current and Copper, and a darling outfit for my grandson from the House of Cardoon in Carmel. There’s something extra special about gifts that come from small makers and shops, they feel more personal and thoughtful.

Thank you all so much for making Small Business Weekend such a joy. We are endlessly grateful for your support and for choosing to shop small—it truly means the world to us.

And remember that Fake Sweater Scarf I cast on while traveling? As I knit, I kept wavering between “this might be the kookiest thing I’ve ever made” and “this could be totally brilliant.” After I blocked it—and it briefly looked like elf long johns—I wasn’t sure what to think. But now? I love it. It’s playful, colorful, and so easy to wear. I’m already dreaming of a second one…maybe in hot pink?

We know we’ve mentioned it already, but Curated Seasons: Traveling Stitches is officially live and we’re thrilled by the excitement already coming in! This year’s theme whisks you away to yarn festivals around the country, with each quarterly box inspired by a different city and season. One of our subscribers recently shared:

“I just opened this amazing summer box! Everything is absolutely perfect—down to the tissue paper. The yarn color is more amazing than in the photos, and this bag… I want to carry it everywhere. Thank you for putting so much attention to the details. Curated is a perfect word to describe this subscription. I’ve done a lot of subscriptions. Monarch is by far my absolute favorite.”

We’d love to have you join us on the journey — boxes begin shipping in February!

Knit and Be Happy,

Ann

Looking for a cozy, clever accessory that’s as fun to knit as it is to wear? Say hello to this fun scarf by Susanne Müller. Ann knitted hers using Lamana Premia and Lamana Como, and the result is pure magic- soft, airy, and beautifully drapey. This simple project mimics the look of a sweater tossed over your shoulders, making it the perfect layer for fall and winter. An easy, satisfying knit that adds instant style to any wardrobe!

Contour Hooded Scarf
MK Gift Ready!

This versatile accessory is one you’ll reach for all season long. Its seamless top-down construction, ridged rib texture, and tidy I-cord edges give it a clean, modern look, while the hood adds extra warmth for chilly days. We’re knitting ours in the luxurious Pascuali Sayama, a llama and highland wool blend that elevates this simple silhouette into something truly special. A wonderful holiday gift, and a soothing project for relaxed winter knitting.

MK Gift Ready!

Our beloved 27 Color Snood Kit has returned and we couldn’t be more excited! This joyful project uses the Woolstok 27 Color Bundle, giving you every shade in the box to play with. It was the very first project I ever knit with Woolstok, and I finished it within a week - it’s that fun and addictive. Whether worn as a cozy cowl or draped over the shoulders, this colorful snood is absolutely fabulous. A perfect pick-me-up project or gift for someone who loves a burst of color!

The Mitra Hat is back with a fresh new look! Erin knitted our latest sample in Lamana Roma held with Knitting for Olive Pure Silk, giving this classic unisex design a soft, elevated feel. With simple ribbing, a delicate lateral braid, and clean stockinette shaping, it’s a quick, satisfying knit...And an easy favorite for gifts or everyday wear!

Sometimes the simplest knits are the ones we reach for again and again. These fingerless mitts by Leslie Friend are a cozy essential this season - lightweight, warm, and perfect for layering. We’ve paired them with Berroco Millstone Tweed, whose soft tweedy texture adds warmth and charm to every stitch. A quick knit, a sweet gift, and a must-make for fall and winter.

Cloud Sweater

The perfect sweater for the coziest season. Molly knit her Cloud Sweater in Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino and Silk Mohair held together, creating a fabric that’s unbelievably soft, warm, and elegant. This top-down, seamless design begins with a simple yoke shaped by short rows and increases for a flattering fit, finished with relaxed sleeves and a soft funnel collar. A polished, wearable layer you’ll reach for again and again all season long! We love Molly's festive color choice, too!
